"Thanks Indie Access for being a great resource for filmmakers!
Through your site we got quality auditions in casting our short film,
and skilled crew, too. Anyone putting together an indie project would
benefit from using your site to cast and crew a film."

Ilaan Borovitch

Director, "Talia's Trait"

"Using IndieAccess.ca saved my film. I was making a dramatic short film and two days before shooting, my lead actor got sick and couldn't make the shoot. After my original panic, a friend recommended that I try IndieAccess.ca. Sure enough, the next day I got four calls with actors interested in the role that was to be shot just a day later. One of those actors I put in the lead role, and that person was even more professional and more eager to work than the original lead that I had cast in the first place. Thanks again, Indie Access!"

Chris Trebilcock

Writer/Director, "Coconut Flakes"

"Thank you for carrying our crew notice for "Coconut Flakes." We are now fully crewed, with much thanks to you. Thanks!"

Brian Gahan

Director/Producer

"We just finished an exciting but tough music video shoot for reggae artist Lazah Current's new release If You Believe in Love. But we got it through it because we had incredible crew members, featuring a plethora of Production Assistant that we found by way of IndieAccess. The volunteer PAs that came to our rescue were professional, hard-working and enthusiastic I'm still getting emails from them thanking me for the opportunity and the great experience they had on our project. And to IndieAccess, thanks a billion; we could not have done it without your professional service."

Paul Barkin

Producer, Alcina Pictures

"When you're dealing with projects and budgets of different sizes your needs for crew are always changing. Indie Access has people of all skill levels and is fast and easy to use. It's a great tool for producers and filmmakers alike."

Paul's Credits: Apartment Hunting(FF) , The Fence(SF), Night of the Living(SF)

Kelvin Mok
Producer, China Syndrome Productions

"Last month our in-house editor was called away on a personal matter and we had a deadline to meet. All our regular freelancers were booked-and then I remembered Indie Access. I went into the crew database and found an editor. She worked out perfectly, and we use her regularly now. Indie Access is one of the first places I look now to fill any crew positions I require."

Andy Berry
Art Director

"I got my first job through Indie Access and from that job, met a few contacts, and I've been working ever since."

Randy Alexander
Production Manager

"Indie Access is a real asset when crewing up for a television series or film. IA is also a great place to look for young, fresh talent. I have been involved in projects on which both actors and crew from IA have had the chance to do work that would have taken them years to get taking through traditional routes.

Sometimes I am also looking to give someone their first opportunity on a film or television production or I am looking for volunteers on a project, and Indie Access is a great resource.

I have personally benefited from working on projects that came to me through Indie Access. When I was starting out and I was looking to get real opportunities in film and television, I had the chance to get direct experience through Indie Access in the specific discipline that I wanted to focus on.

Randy's Credits: Clean Rite Cowboy (SF) , Foxy Lady, Wild Cherry(SF), The Family Guy , (FF) Bella(TVS), Garden Architecture (TVS), Entrada(TVS), We're Funny That Way

Kim Kuhteubl
Producer

"I was producing my first film and didn't have enough contacts to get together a full crew. Indie Access was super. I got lists of available crew members in every department I needed, including an excellent Art Director."

Kim's Credits: The Best Girl (SF) Design For Living (III), Associate Producer (TVS) Trade Ya, Associate Producer (TV1) Forbidden Places (IV), Production Manager (TVS)

Alan Bacchus
Director

"I graduated from University with a degree totally unrelated to the movie biz, but I always knew that the film industry was the place I wanted to be. Upon graduating I inquired into "breaking in" to the industry, and heard about Indie Access. After registering, I worked on many indie shoots and graduated from naive to 'surprisingly knowledgeable'. My experiences and contacts made through Indie Access have been a stepping stone further into the industry. I have just spent the last year in Vancouver at film school where I directed my first two short films and produced another. The on-set experience I gained through Indie Access gave me an edge that helped me to succeed at school and with putting my films together. Currently, I am in the Ontario District Council DGC permittee program and starting my own production company. I'm glad Indie Access was there to help me get started."

COLIN BRUNTON
Producer

"When I need people, I need them fast. Indie Access showcases every department, so I'm never caught short -- and I can get all the info I need online 24 hours a day. I've used Indie Access to fill spots on everything from short films to Canadian Features to multimillion dollar studio films. Indie Access is always my first stop, and they've never let me down."

Colin's Credits: Line Producer: Hedwig and the Angry Inch  Executive Producer: Rude, Blood and Donuts, Cube

CHRISTINE A. TERRIS
Wardrobe/Costume Designer

"I heard about Indie Access when I moved to Toronto from Nova Scotia. At first I was skeptical because of the fee they were charging but after checking around I signed up. It was a number of months before I received my first phone call for a job, but I have been working quite regularly since. Although my first jobs didn't pay much, they allowed me to build my reel with key credits. This was experience that in the union (NABET or IATSE) would have taken up to 10 years or more to gain. That experience and my reel has led to better paying jobs. For example, I landed the job of Assistant Costume Designer on the CBC television series DROP THE BEAT, produced by Alliance Atlantis and Back Alley Productions. Through Indie Access I have made numerous contacts, met some amazing people and advanced my career in film. Thank You, Indie Access!!"
